What do you think of when you see the color yellow? The noonday sun, caution, summertime, bananas. The color yellow generally appears near the head in one’s aura. It is indicative of high intelligence and quick, clear thinking. A muddy yellow in the aura indicates someone whose thinking has become distorted or unclear. This distortion of the intelligence can be caused by drugs, mental illness or general malaise.
This chakkra is the connecting point between the physical and the spiritual. It is where we feel our intuition in the physical body. This is why we have a ‘gut reaction’. When this chakkra is out of balance we experience various problems with our bowels, gall bladder or stomach area. We are unable to ‘digest’ our situation or lessons.
The Solar Plexus is the seat of our light and demands that we be true to our Selves. Our Solar Plexus warns us when we stray from our paths and when we are in danger. When this chakkra is balanced we feel self-confident and strong. The Solar Plexus Chakkra gives us the strength to stay the course and the ability to make good decisions regardless of what is occurring around us. When it’s out of balance we tend to repeat mistakes and make decisions that don’t support our greater good.
So what can we do about it?
The simplest step is to add the color yellow to your environment and/or wardrobe.
Where do you have fuzzy boundaries? Decide to make them clear and stick to your decision. Accept compliments. Look in the mirror and admire yourself – physically, mentally etc.
Who or what intimidates you? Hold your hands over your Solar Plexus and imagine golden energy emanating from the area. Imagine them before you. Take a deep breathe in and force the air out in a grunt pushing them away from you. Do this several times to expand your energy field.
Laugh at what frightens you. Laughter will totally take the wind out of the sails of what frightens you.
Make a list of what you believe about yourself – I am a … Then look at it and turn all the negative statements into positive affirmations. I.E. I am a victim changes to I am strong. Then say the affirmations out loud – three times each every morning until you feel it.
Sit quietly and breathe deeply. Pull white light energy through the top of your head down through your body. Draw green Earth energy up through your feet and into the rest of your body. Feel the energies as they course through you, cleansing, balancing and leaving a protective shield.
Your hands are in front of you, held flat and together [prayer position]. Slowly separate them, creating a ball of golden energy between them. Feel the energy pulsating in your hands.
Slowly press the ball into your Solar Plexus. Allow the energy to spread through you. See yourself with a golden glow. Laugh if you feel the urge.
Sit with this awhile.
Slowly retract the white light and green Earth energies from your body, leaving yourself glowing. Give thanks for the grounding and life energy given by the Earth. See yourself with a soft golden-white glow. Feel your power. Slowly feel your body and run your hands from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet. Place your palms firmly on the ground. Feel the love and the gratitude of the Earth and for the Earth.
Continue to do this meditation daily until the Solar Plexus chakkra is strong and you feel confident and secure – ready to face whatever shall be placed in your path.
